Gail Thompson, LPC

A founding member of McLean Christian Counseling, Gail has served in Christian ministry since 1976. She has worked as a clinical therapist in a local psychiatric day-hospital and a therapeutic foster care agency, was the Clinical Director of a faith-based inner city drug treatment/dual diagnosis program in Washington, D.C. and worked in a private practice in Arlington, Virginia before joining the clinical staff at The Counseling Center at McLean Bible Church in 2001.
Gail works primarily with adult individuals treating depression, anxiety and other mood disorders, addictions, sexual and other forms of abuse and trauma, grief and loss, family, boundary and other relational issues, life transitions, career concerns and more. Her passion is helping clients pursue sustainable well-being from a biblical model of health utilizing best clinical and spiritual practices.
Gail earned her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and her Masters of Counseling degree from Regent University. She is a licensed as a Professional Counselor in Virginia.
